A special Full Moon Puja evening celebrating the birthday of Triratna’s founder, ‘Bhante’ Urgyen Sangharakshita.
Brighton Buddhist Centre is part of a worldwide Buddhist movement, called Triratna. From Maharashtra to Krakow, from San Francisco to Birmingham, Triratna is a radical experiment in an international spiritual community, founded by a single teacher, ‘Bhante’ Urgyen Sangharakshita. Born in Tooting, South London, Sangharakshita was taught in India by some of the great Buddhist teachers of the last century.
On this evening, we’ll be celebrating his birthday, his teachings, and his unique approach to the Buddhist vision. Come along and find out more about the Buddhist tradition Sangharakshita founded.
In addition, we will be ritually sending off Brendan on his Ordination retreat at Guhyaloka Retreat Centre in Spain. Brendan will be ordained there by Maitridarshin as his Private Preceptor. Come and hear what this very significant step means for Brendan, for the Brighton Buddhist Centre and for the Triratna Buddhist Order.
