Mindfulness Based Compassionate Living

4 February from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm

An 8 week course

Led by Akasati Annie and Nicky Mouat

Akasati Annie was ordained as a member of the Triratna Buddhist Order in 1999. She has been a freelance mindfulness teacher since 2017 and has taught in both secular and Buddhist contexts. She has taught the MBCL course many times. She has benefited personally from the themes and practices in her own life and witnessed how helpful the course has been to the many people who have completed it.

Watch a video of Akasati Annie introducing the MBCL course.

Nicky is a Registered Nurse and Mental Health Practitioner with 30 years experience of working in both mental health and general nursing for the NHS. She completed her Mindfulness training at the Sussex Mindfulness Centre after finding mindfulness practice transformative in her personal life. She has also trained in teaching compassion. She has been teaching mindfulness for wellbeing, depression and addiction in NHS and Charity settings for 10 years.

As a Bamba UK registered teacher, she follows the Good Practice Guidelines, receives supervision for her teaching and attends regular retreats and training.
