A special Full Moon Puja evening celebrating the birthday of Triratna’s founder, ‘Bhante’ Urgyen Sangharakshita.

Brighton Buddhist Centre is part of a worldwide Buddhist movement, called Triratna. From Maharashtra to Krakow, from San Francisco to Birmingham, Triratna is a radical experiment in an international spiritual community, founded by a single teacher, ‘Bhante’ Urgyen Sangharakshita. Born in Tooting, South London, Sangharakshita was taught in India by some of the great Buddhist teachers of the last century.
On this evening, we’ll be celebrating his birthday, his teachings, and his unique approach to the Buddhist vision. Come along and find out more about the Buddhist tradition Sangharakshita founded.
These evenings are intended for us to gather together as sangha and are open to anyone who has attended introductory courses in Buddhism and is familiar with the Mindfulness of Breathing and the Metta Bhavana meditation practices.
No need to book, by donation.
Future Full Moon Puja dates:
