Combining the skills of mindfulness and self-compassion, these courses provide powerful tools for emotional resilience. Learning to be kinder to ourselves creates a happier inner world and improves our relationships with others.

Research shows that the MSC program enhances mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing. It boosts happiness, reduces anxiety and depression, decreases burnout, physical pain, and much more.

The program includes short talks and exercises on the theme; meditations and informal practices designed to be used in daily life.

On these courses you’ll learn:

  • how to stop being so hard on yourself
  • how to handle difficult emotions with greater ease
  • how to motivate yourself with encouragement rather than criticism
  • how to transform difficult relationships
  • theory and research behind mindful self-compassion
  • how to become your own best teacher

MSC was developed by Christopher K. Germer, PhD, leader in the integration of mindfulness and psychotherapy, and Kristin Neff, PhD, pioneering researcher in the field of self-compassion.

Akasati Annie has been teaching courses in mindfulness and compassion for many years, in both secular and Buddhist contexts.

Julia Powell also teaches mindfulness, with a special interest in running courses for refugees.
