Puja

Ritual practices within the Buddhist tradition are referred to as puja, which means "devotional worship"...The recitation of verses is often accompanied by the making of simple offerings that symbolize both our gratitude to the Buddha for the gift of his wise example and our determination to win through to that enlightened state.

Human beings need rituals. When we practice puja we collectively recite verses, chant mantras, and make offerings to the shrine in the spirit of devotion, aspiration and receptivity. We open our hearts and engage creatively with the teachings, with body speech and mind.  Puja can stir deep emotions.  It can galvanizes us, and evoke a profound sense of peace.

We often hold a puja at Wednesday's Friends Night.

We host online pujas every Monday afternoon and Friday evening.
