Going Deeper with MeditationLevel 2: suitable for those who have completed Parts I and II of the Meditation & Buddhism Course
Book in advance

Insight Meditation through Mindfulness

This initial five week course led by Vanaka focuses on learning a relaxed, direct awareness of body/mind. It is a non-discursive silent presence that is both receptive to whatever arises and at the same time active in not getting ‘caught up in’ those experiences. Through this kind of training there arises the possibility of becoming unstuck from our habitual, unsatisfactory ways of relating to ourselves and the world. There are handouts at the end of each evening as well as guidance for practice during the week.

5 week course
Tuesday evenings: 7.30pm – 9.30pm
from 22 April
cost: £45 (£35/£25 concs.).

Insight Meditation: Presence and Freedom

This five week follow on course from Insight Meditation through Mindfulness is concerned with the more active aspect of insight practice. Within the space of a relaxed, embodied and non-discursive awareness we are able to explore the processes within us which cause narrowing, attachment and pain, and recognise the processes which relax, open and free the mind/body. The five weeks take a look at how insight into each of the three/ laksanas/ provides the basis for relaxing, unbinding, and ultimately freedom.

5 week course
Tuesday evenings: 7.30pm – 9.30pm
from 16 September
cost: £45 (£35/£25 concs.).
