Such course or event titles will have a number ² next to them. When there is a number ¹ they are suitable for newcomers. For details of drop-in meditation see classes.
Sangha Nights The evening usually begins with a period of meditation. Following this there is often a short talk on one of the fundamental teachings of the Buddha, with space for questions and discussion. The evening generally concludes with some devotional practice, after which there is time for tea-drinking and chatting downstairs. Every few weeks we have a Practice Night, which involves more meditation and devotional practice. And around the three main Buddhist Festivals of the year (Buddha Day, Dharma Day and Sangha Day) Sangha Night is given over to a more festive and celebratory atmosphere. |
